Wisata Bioskop: The Raid

The Raid is an Indonesian action movie made by company who brought Merantau film in 2009, directed by Gareth Evans, starred by Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, Joe Taslim, Verdi Solaiman, and support by many fighter.

The Raid has become a phenomenal Indonesian film in 2012. This film is the first Indonesian film that: 1) Globally released, first step in March 23rd, released in US, UK, Australia and Indonesia. Then followed in more than 50 countries in I guess 4 continents, I think there are no countries in Africa which show The Raid (cmiiw). 2) First film that make comic after the film, not film that came from comic or novel.

Why I’m interested in The Raid? Like I said in The Raid Gala Premiere, for me The Raid is a MEGA film, stand for M= me, I feel that this film is about me, my martial art friend, and identity of Indonesia, cause it bring Silat, martial art from Indonesia. E= enormous, this is something big for Indonesia. G= global, globally released! A= action, many media and person who said that The Raid is the best action movie ever. It looks so real, real body contact.
Up to now (May, 14th ) in US, The Raid which name The Raid: Redemption, has earn $ 4 million. That is 4 times of the capital need to make this film. And highest reach in US box Office is on 11th position.

I was lucky to get invitation for The Raid Gala Premiere. I get many invitations to came to a film premiere before, but nothing like The Raid. Other films just invite the cast and crew, media, take pictures and interviewed. But in The Raid Gala Premiere, they have Silat performance, they have more organized one, they bring film properties to the venue, like the riot van, doors, and other props. They also have special interview session for winners of twitter quiz like me. Yes, I get the invitation by battle in the twitter, quite a hard effort to win, pfhiuhh.

From this movie, I got a new community, big community! Now I friends with the fans of The Raid and other Merantau Film movie,it calls Perantau, friends with some of the casts and crew, and friends with other moviegoers community. So happy with that, more friends, more colorful life I have.

Now about the title, I put Wisata bioskop or Movie Tourism. Until today, May 14, 2012, I watch The Raid 9 times, in 5 different theaters. From high class theater to only 10 thousand rupiah theater -just about $ 1.05 or half price of McDonalds Big Mac-. I love to see how other people react to see the scenes, the fight, the stab, the death scenes of the characters that each one has “cool” way to die, funny scenes. Sometimes the audience praise the god, or swearing with four letter words whether in English, Indonesia, or local language, or laugh, feel sad and clap their hands too.

Big rumor just became reality, today Merantau Film announce will bring the film with Mike Shinoda score, also with English subtitle to Indonesia. That is awesome remembering that many expatriate lives in Jakarta and Indonesia who wants to see the film too. Let’s wait for the news ahead.

-28 nov, Around 21.30 wita Landed in Ngurah Rai Airport, delay 30mins because of heavy traffic of flight (that's what the pilot said)

Go for meal, just eat Pecel Ayam, regular Toast Chicken Then heading to have a rest


-Day 2 Start with breakfast,my friend bought me Balinese breakfast.
around 9, me and other 7 friend, heading to Trunyan .It's a Village on the side of Lake Batur, Kintamani. it is unique for its burial tradition.

so, there is one tree, call Tarumenyan, this tree produce fragrance that even Java can smell this. to avoid people's visit to this village, their ancestor obligate to lay dead bodies under this tree. but only people who dies normally and married that placed here, if not, their dead bodies went to another place

So, we were driving about 2 hours from denpasar to Kintamani, have lunch there, then going down to the lake and make a crossing to Trunyan.usual price by boat to crossing is about 70,000IDR each person.

From Trunyan, we heading to Toya Devasya, just another side of the lake. Previously we were planning to soaking in hot water. natural hot water, but because of lack of communication, we left our changing clothes in the car, meanwhile like i mention before, we were heading directly from Trunyan to Toya Devasya by boat.But we did hanging around a while there, this place offers tents with facilities inside, offers package to go around the area by bike or other vehicle.

if u want to have honeymoon, its villas has great view, private jacuzzi and pool, and you even will have a butler of your own! cool, but well for me, it is waaaay tooooo expensive. So i am happy to have chance to visit and go inside it with friend of my friend, he is the brother of the Toya Devasya owner! cool...

Next, we're heading to Tegalalang, Ubud, beautiful sight-seeing of rice field, but we miss the turn, so pass Tegalalang.

Next, heading to Tanah Lot, famous and even a landmark of Bali, a big Pura (place for Hindu's praying) located on the rock in the beach.

- Day 3 meet my friend who is having his honeymoon in Bali, then I go SHOPPING!

First we have a breakfast in "Nasi Pedes Bu Andhika" or Hot Rice. Then went to Joger then heading to Erlangga a store with regular market price, i mean, cheap off course!Previously when people went to Bali, we will buy goods with low price in Sukowati Art Market, but is way too far from denpasar, so there is this Erlangga for an alternative (later there is Krisna too).ok, crazy time haha, buy this buy that, especially when i enter the accessories area, GOD! more and more things went to my shopping bag.

End up with my big bag i prepared before is almost full!

Amazingly, when this shopping time, i did not feel hungry, it is 1.30 pm, usually i will get very hungry. So after shopping i feel hungry and thirsty. Have lunch now then back to hotel.
After resting in hotel, heading to Kuta Beach to see the sunset, before, we ate rujak, starving couldn't wait the dinner hihihiAfter that, heading to Hard rock Hotel for a dinner.


Day 4
Busy day too...
At 10 am start to Tanjung Benoa, after waiting, I play Flying Fish then Jet ski.

to wait my turn to play jet ski. it was so long que! so i play on the beach

Next, heading to GWK=Garuda Wisnu Kencana God so damn hot, i almost never put down my sunglasses and hat.

Since its located on high hill, so we can see some Bali from here, we can use telescope by buy a coin 5000 IDR.
After so many photo session @GWK hahaha, we were heading to Uluwatu, Big Pura, located on the hill too, nice view from here.

in this area, we had to alert for the monkey there, they can take our hat, glasses, our hair laces.in uluwatu, we were resting after take the hike and the photos, just sitting and resting and busy with our handphones. i hold on to my hat tight, my friend sit next to me, and he took off his sandal, then suddenly a monkey took it hihihihi
Next destination is Dreamland Beach nice beach, with soft sand, and rocks and caves.

Move to Jimbaran Beach. we had dinner there, eat seafood, big portion of seafood, i could not finish that (as usual).Nice place, nice food, nice entertainment, they have street singer, they can play various song, various language of song. Also there is Balinese dancer, and you can take picture with the dancer.

ahh finish the agenda that day, going back to hotel then have a rest


Day 5
Last day, start with swimming in the pool, then breakfast, then pack my bag.Heading to buy more things to Krisna shop, big shop, but smaller than Erlangga, but they have several things that Erlangga doesn't have.

Then ride to Padma beach, it was too hot to play onyhe beach so just see and go. Have lunch @ Bianco Restaurant nice place, nice food, nice service.


Back to hotel, pack my bag then went to airport.....ups i haven't inform about the hotel right? I stay @ BaliSandy Cottages it was good hotel with cheap rate

Finally landed in Jakarta

Indonesia Book Fair 2008

Indonesia Book Fair yang ke 28 akan diadakan tanggal 12-16 November 2008. Acaranya itu bertempat di Main Lobby & Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan. Dari jam 10.00 - 21.00 Wib dan diikuti lebih dari 100 vendor. Bertemakan “The Heritage Of Minang”, Book Fair kali ini memiliki berbagai acara menarik:

Indonesia-Jepang Expo

On Sunday, I went there the Indonesia Jepang Expo 2008 located in PRJ area with my cousin. This is a must see event! Why?

1. For Japan lover, or japan culture lover, u can catch up Jsekai booth for taking picture wearing Yukata, a summer kimono. or IGO, manga etc. Then there is Shinkansen 3D area. this the faove spot. there is a schedule for the show. About the show, check here. i didn't see the show, coz so many people queing there, i prefer to see the expo rather than sit there n wait. There is obake-ghost house. i do not know what is inside, maybe scary things.

2. For "gratisan" or free gift lover there are several things u can collect, t shirt, picture, bag, ballpoint, notes, paper fan, button, bracelet, key chain :) some booth require a business card.

3. For environment friendly people. several booth has big concern about this. panasonic has "Eco Ideas" u can watch presentation content of global warming issues, then u can try to answer some Q on touch screen, then u can take a picture of u. On Hitachi booth, u can write short message about earth on a sticker then put it on the wall, they will pick some person to get a prize by the end of the expo. or on the NEDO - New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization, u can find a scale model of a eco house, an energy self generated, and eco friendly material house. There is a Greenpeace booth too.
But there is something that i want to have so badly, no not the electric car, where u can test drive =sit on it while being driven by the officer, no, but the solar cell by sharp, i want that for my home.

4. For narsis people, sooo many spot u can catch, the prototype of jakarta-MRT on JICA booth, or some poster of the exhibitor, some cool and unique booth. and off course the astragraphia booth where somebody take picture then i get the print instantly.


But the most crowded place except the Shinkansen and Obake is the FOOD BOOTH! Yes we were so hungry after hours of walk.

But what made me tired is the distance :( yes there is a shuttle bus, but for each 1 hours only and only on weekend. the ticket is IDR 10,000

but i confuse which handphone i will buy.
1. Philips 9@9k strong and long lasting battery, has radio and MP3 MP4 player, but don't have infrared port and 3G feature, low quality of camera.

2. Any Sony Ericsson, but in the development, I consider K 530 and K630, this is the comparison.

3. MyG K800, a china made handphone. has dual sim card, TV.

whuaaaaaa make me dizzy. Any suggestion?


The 2nd event, and small exhibition in my building. "Moslem Outfit Product". well it is a temptation too, maybe there will be clothes, veil, etc. That will make me want to shop!

Dunia Jepang sudah akrab sejak adikku diterima di program D3 Bahasa Jepang UGM, dan kemudian diterima di program S1 nya.

Setiap ada acara, ku hampir selalu ikut atau yah setidaknya nonton, ada festival, ada lomba, ada pemutaran film. Sebagian besar temennya pun aku kenal dan sebaliknya kenal denganku.

In fact,pekerjaan ku sekarang ku dapat karena teman adikku juga, dan tentunya berhubungan dengan Jepang.

Weekend kemarin, ada ajakan teman untuk melihat lomba pidato bahasa jepang, Benron Taikai kalo ga salah, kebetulan dia salah satu jurinya, Mensa Toegiono namanya. Tapi karena ga ada teman, masih berpikir berulang kali. tapi sekitar jam 10.30am, listrik di kos mati! dan katanya sampai jam 4sore huaaaa. Langsung diputuskan ku akan ke acara itu he he, dengan resiko akan jadi alien.

Acara di Japan Foundation, Gedung Summitmas I, gedung yang sudah ku dengar sejak kuliah, ahh jadi inget pak Dibyo Prabowo, dosenku.

Intinya acara berlangsung dan ku cuma pura2 paham aja klo ada yang pidato, klo ketawa ya ikutan ketawa dikit ha haaa.

Acara selesai, setelah keluar ruangan eee ada Fajar Guntara, kakak angkatan adikku, dan dia juga bersama teman2 adikku juga, jd reuni kecil deh :D

From 2-5 April 2007, Ministry of Industry/Departemen Perindustrian held an exhibition/Bazaar again, this time is about food. So brands such as Indofood, You C 1000, Ocorn, Coca COla, and so on will be in the bazaar.

Pottery Exhibition

From 20-24 March 2007, on Ministry of Industry Building, JL Gatot Subroto kav 52 South Jakarta, we, the ministry, held a Pottery and PLaiting product exhibition, open 9.00-16.30.

Ughh this kind of exhibition make me want to buy something. Yesterday, when i check on it, i find something interesting, a wind chain, a pottery made, cute, about IDR25,000 i think i will buy it he hee

My office, has turn from Departement Perindustrian to Departement Store he he he
Thats what my friends said, because th first floor of my office is a place for exhibition especially after it has being renovated.

Now, there is an exhibition about Distro Product. last week, exhibition of home appliences especially kitchen, previously about furniture, before exhibitioon of Yogyakarta's products.

This is a good activity bacause we (my office) suppport The SME (Small and Medium entreprises) but people who work here, especially the ladies waaaaa the get the biggest seduction to shop!

I am afraid to look at the exhibition today, because i know it will be very tempting! The bag, the shirt, the belt oh nooooooo
